Strike Anywhere

If you’re like us and wondered when Strike Anywhere would release new music, the time has come. The punk band just signed a new deal with Pure Noise Records and announced their new EP Nightmares of the West. Their first new music since 2009, and they’re feeling refreshed and ready to restart. Like all their other music, Nightmares of the West was recorded at Salad Days Studio in Baltimore. Known for their stance on women’s rights, animal rights, and police brutality, among other things, this album will get conversations started. Nightmares of the West is set to be released on July 17th.

The Wrecks

The Wrecks took over our weekend as they performed at the Block By Blockwest Festival online through Minecraft. That’s right; the festival took place via a video game! It happened on May 16th and featured 3 stages with The Wrecks performing on Stage One (main stage) at 8:50 pm EST. Each stage can be streamed on Facebook, YouTube, and the Block by Blockwest website. Proceeds from the event will go to the Coronavirus Emergency Response Fund.

320 Festival

The first-ever virtual 320 Festival took place this past weekend and was an instant success. People around the globe got to see panels and listen to sessions about mental health while enjoying performances by Miguel, Chris Martin of Coldplay, and Frank Zummo of Sum 41. Mental Health is a subject that isn’t widely talked about because of fear of judgment, so we’re excited to see events like the 320 Festival.

Continuing with their weekly Re-Live At Home Series, Beartooth has gifted us the viewing experience of watching their hit song ‘The Lines,’ once live performance in London. It’s another Re-Live At Home video that makes you feel as if you are there!. You can feel the energy from the band and the audience right through the screen. This is the third video released since the start of the series, which started with ‘Sick of Me’ and ‘Manipulation’ in Oberhausen. The series comes to an end this upcoming week on May 21st with ‘Disease’ live in London, so make sure you don’t miss that!

Mike Henneberger

Mike Henneberger’s Rock Bottom At The Renaissance: An Emo Kid’s Journey Through Falling In And Out Of Love In And With New York City is set to release June 9th. We know it’s a mouth full and we also know not everyone is a book reader, but this book is also a music memoir! While reading through, you may stumble upon some familiar lyrics from bands such as The Dangerous Summer, Jimmy Eat World, Bayside, The Smoking Popes, Alkaline Trio, The Wonder Years, and more; all of which are included in the memoir’s soundtrack! We think books should always include their very own soundtracks because it helps immerse you into what you’re reading. The book will take you through the life of Henneberger’s, starting with his early life in Texas. To preorder, click here!

KITTEN have just released their brand new single ‘My House,’ written to show people’s frustrations and chaotic households during quarantine the band sum-up these feelings perfectly with this track, which they also performed at the Block by Blockwest online event. They performed on Stage One at 6:20 pm EDT, May 16th. The girl group who are fronted by Chloe Chaidez from Charli XCX’s ‘Black cherry’ were joined by a host of other great bands. You don’t want to miss these guys, check out their new single now!

Warrior Path & Daniel Heiman

Daniel Heiman has joined the rankings, as the new voice of Warrior Path. The band has been extensively searching for the perfect voice to record on their new album, and finally, they have found him! Daniel is best known for his work on the iconic Lost Horizon albums, and since he is picky when it comes to collaborations, we are so stoked to see him take on Warrior Path. Stay tuned, for the band to release an album, we know it’s going to be so dope!

On May 16th, Ashe hosted a multi-artist charity event to honor The Beach Boys. Some of the music legends in the lineup included Finneas, Ryan Tedder, Bishop Briggs, and Blake Rose, who all performed songs from The Beach Boys legendary album, Pet Sounds. If you missed the event, you can re-live the iconic even via Ashe’s YouTube channel! It’s a real treat, so if you’ve got the time, it’s a must-watch!
