Multi-Platinum Icelandic rockers Of Monsters and Men have just dropped their latest track ‘Visitors’. They’ve also treated us to a hauntingly beautiful music video! It’s the first track they’ve released from a body of work being released next year, but if it’s anything to go by then we’re excited for what’s to come.
‘Visitor’ is a song about disconnection and being on the fringe of change, seeing everything you once knew disappear, and finding yourself in the role of the visitor.
Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, Of Monsters and Men
Of Monsters and Men went from being the talk of the town in Iceland to the top of the global conversation on their 2011 debut, My Head Is An Animal. Over the last nine years, they’ve gone from strength to strength. Their last album FEVER DREAM now has over 80 million streams to date!

All those streams AND an upcoming tenth anniversary?!?
To properly reflect on the last nine dazzling years, it’s only appropriate that they ventured back to Iceland in the dead of winter to film the music video for ‘Visitor’. The video was shot by local director Thora Hilmars and was filmed in an icy airplane hanger as the sun rises. It’s a video full of stunning cinematography and beautiful metaphorical imagery.
