It has been three years since Portland, Oregon, alternative rockers have set foot on a stage in Maryland! So when their tour was announced, we had to be sure to check it out!

The Baltimore Soundstage was the best venue for the night. With a large room and a low stage, there was hardly anything separating the fans from the bands, which created such an intimate and enjoyable atmosphere. When the doors opened for the night, people slowly trickled in. By showtime, the place was packed with adults and children excited to see the 90’s icons take the stage!

To start off the evening, The Great heights band took to the stage. They were the only opener for tonight. The Baltimore’s locals performed with casual ease and looked so comfortable on the stage. Their pop-punk sound was infectious and a perfect fit for the night. Lead singer, Neal, didn’t shy away from interacting with fans. He expressed his happiness to be back performing, after the year break due to the pandemic After their set, it was obvious the audience was so hyped. Also, I heard a lot of people say that they were one of their new favorite bands. You definitely want to keep an eye on them.

Flash Back To The 90s

Finally, it was the moment everyone was waiting for! The legendary Art, Freddy, Davey, and Brian took to the stage! Art brought up his love for baseball, the Baltimore Orioles, and, Cal Ripkin. The crowd excitedly cheered back with agreement. Art even told the crowd, “I wanted to be a baseball player when I grew up, but I was no good at it. Then I decided to play guitar instead!” Davey shredded his heart out with those guitar riffs, it most likely made every other guitar player in the venue, envious. Eventually, they rounded out their 17 song set with two encore songs. Clearly, This band showed us the resurgence of this genre, and the fans are just as dedicated as they were in the early 90s. We will always recommend catching them whenever they’re in your area… you will not be disappointed.

This tour is coming to an end soon. But for certain, this is a band you definitely would not want to miss when they go back on tour next year!
