DNCE Are Back And Ready To Make You ‘Move’

Are you sat down? Well, get up already! DNCE are back with their first official single in four years, ‘Move,’ and we’re all the better for it! Joe Jonas, JinJoo Lee, and Jack Lawless never let us down, whether together or apart, you know they’re gonna give us bops. But when their forces combine? Oh boy, they’re a force to be reckoned with!

Of course, they did give us quite the teaser with ‘Dancing Feet,’ their collab with Kygo, which we quite rightly dubbed one of the songs of the summer! But ‘Move’ is DNCE to the very core, and we simply love to see their comeback be such a great representation of the band’s identity.

“Grab that drink and meet me on the dancefloor.”

‘Move’ truly is DNCE doing what they do best: mixing genre, and the old with new, all whilst having a lot of fun doing it! ‘Move’ is heavily 70s inspired, with super fun guitar riffs, and Joe Jonas as the perfect frontman with his charisma bursting through his smooth vocal delivery. Joe promises they’ll make us want to move, and then they do exactly that. We love a song that does what it says on the tin! Plus, ‘Move’ was co-written by Ryan Tedder. With a combination of talents like this, there’s no way that this song could be anything short of perfect.

It’s been a long time since we heard from DNCE, who last released a song together four years ago, and of course, debuted as a band in 2016 with the unshakable hit ‘Cake By The Ocean.’ It’s so impressive that they’ve retained such a strong group identity throughout this break, and we couldn’t be happier to see them releasing music together again!
