Remain Calm, We’ve Got A New Post Malone Album To Discuss

We like to think that since the 2019 release of Hollywood’s Bleeding, we’ve been waiting patiently for Post Malone to release his next studio album! That moment is finally here! Twelve Carat Toothache is ours! The tracklist to Twelve Carat Toothache is stacked with collaborations from so many of our favorites – from Doja Cat, to The Kid LAROI, to The Weeknd, and that’s just to name a few!

What Twelve Carat Toothache proves above all else, is that Post Malone is in a league all his own. Is his music pop? Is it rap? The beauty of Post Malone is that you don’t have to box it in! His artistry exists all on its own and doesn’t have to conform to any particular mold to be excellent. We already know we are going to be seeing Post Malone’s name all over this award season, there’s no way a body of work at this caliber won’t be the talk of the town.

To celebrate the release of Twelve Carat Toothache, we’re going to break down our five current (it keeps changing) favorite tracks from the record!

‘Wasting Angels’ Ft. The Kid LAROI

The Kid LAROI has jumped on the song of the summer, easily. While ‘Wasting Angels’ isn’t overly upbeat, there’s this head-in-the-clouds vibe that is going to lend itself beautifully to being the soundtrack to summer. At the end of ‘Wasting Angels,’ Post Malone and The Kid LAROI’s voices sound further away, and we think that’s such a cool way to play out the track.

‘I Like You (A Happier Song)’ Ft. Doja Cat

If Doja Cat is involved, we are going to be on board! We’ve seen so many tracks from Post Malone about forms of heartbreak, so to hear this love letter is so beautiful! We have to give Doja Cat her flowers – her verse is one of our favorite features of hers yet!

‘Euthanasia’

Even though there are a plethora of collaborations on Twelve Carat Toothache, these last three songs are all just Post solo and they are stellar. ‘Euthanasia’ feels very atmospheric, which is one of the things Post Malone does best. We want to be driving at night with ‘Euthanasia’ playing at an ungodly volume, just vibing.

‘Lemon Tree’

We have arrived at our favorite song on Twelve Carat Toothache, ‘Lemon Tree.’ As far as vocals, Post shines the brightest right here on ‘Lemon Tree.’ The track itself is a softer side of the album, with an acoustic backing track, but still sticking to the atmospheric feeling that we just raved about.

‘Lemon Tree’ is the song we would show to anyone who wanted to be introduced to Post Malone.

‘When I’m Alone’

To round out this list, we have track eleven, ‘When I’m Alone.’ Are we sensing a little bit of pop-punk influence here? If so, totally on board, and could go for an entire record of this sound!
