Don’t Be ‘Late To Da Party’ If These 5 Songs Are On The Playlist

Does anything scream “summer” quite like a party-worthy banger by one of your favorite artists? We think not! And lucky for us, a ton of our faves are giving us just that with their recent singles. We know there have been countless new releases lately and it can be hard to keep up with how fast music moves, so we rounded up five recent gems you need to jam out to!

Lil Nas X & NBA YoungBoy – ‘Late To Da Party’

After weeks of meme-worthy teasing and trolling on Twitter, Lil Nas X and YoungBoy finally unveiled their energetic collab, ‘Late To Da Party!’ This is one fierce duo and the results speak for themselves. It’s full of confidence, speaks out about some of the homophobia Nas has faced in the industry, and it’s just an all-around good time. Simply iconic and the music video is equally as fun.

Jordan Michelle – ‘It’s My Birthday (RIP To Me)’ With SK8 & Tosh The Drummer

It may have been her birthday, but Jordan Michelle gave us a gift we’ll cherish forever! This rising pop-punk queen always brings such a fresh perspective to any song she makes, and ‘It’s My Birthday’ is no exception. Add Tosh The Drummer and SK8 to the mix and you have a future classic on your hands. Catch us playing this on our special day for years to come!

I always thought there was a missing space for a pop punk birthday anthem. As my 30th birthday was approaching, I thought, what could be something cool to do for such a big birthday? I was joking with friends that I should have a funeral for my 20s and then realized that’s actually a great idea. I don’t mind turning 30, so I didn’t want it to be a negative thing. I’m so excited to move into this next chapter. I look back on the version of myself over the last 10 years and wish I could inject some confidence into her or squeeze the worry out of her.

Wiz Khalifa – ‘Bad Ass B*tches’

Wanna feel like a badass b*tch? Wiz Khalifa has you covered with his new single, which has a kind of chill vibe running through it at the same time as its party-ready energy. We could so see this track playing in a movie or TV show scene where the main character is making their grand entrance at a house party. Bonus points if it was Maddy Perez from Euphoria.

This track came together through [producer] Hitmaka. As soon as I heard it, [I] immediately jumped on as it’s a banger.

WILLOW – ‘<maybe> it’s my fault’

‘<maybe> it’s my fault’ literally opens with the line “met her at a party, I said she seems nice,” so it’s a natural inclusion on this list. This track returns to the pop-punk sound we’ve been loving from WILLOW with a heavier flair and a little extra wow factor that’s blowing us away. She’s a chameleon of an artist, with a unique ability to branch out and try new elements while staying true to her musical heart.

Sleeping With Sirens – ‘Crosses’ With Spencer Chamberlain

One more rock banger, for good measure! Spencer Chamberlain of Underoath becomes an honorary member of Sleeping With Sirens for ‘Crosses,’ an anthem about staying humble and showing love to those around you. If your goal this summer is to live your best life, this is the song for you. And the ultimate motivation to become your best self in the next few months: SWS is releasing their Complete Collapse album in October, so get ready!

I think ‘Crosses’ is a great opening single for our new album! The song to me is about not putting yourself above anyone. I think we’re all just trying our best and we can lift each other up! In a world where everyone pretends to be perfect, I think this song is letting everyone know that we all struggle and we can all rise above it!
