You already know we’ve been anticipating the new album Blossom from The Summer Set since the second we heard about its release. And with the release coming right around the corner, we were even more stoked when we found out about their new single ‘FTS’ feat. Travie McCoy!
This song is a gospel-esque song about about focusing on yourself, and letting all the other sh*t go! Brian said it best:
“We wrote the first version of this song almost 8 years ago, so it’s crazy to us that it’s finally gonna see the light of day. (….) It’s our own little gospel about how important it is to mind your own business, love who you love, and do whatever it is that makes you happy. Life is short. Do what you love and drown out the rest.”

It’s Never Been A Phase For Us
The Summer Set rocked our worlds when they announced their reunion last year. The anticipation of their new two-part album, Blossom, dropping everywhere September 9th has us shaking in our boots. The release comes after the drop of four different genre exploring singles. ‘Street Lightning,’ which brought us the 80s synth vibe pop vibes of our dreams. ‘Back Together,’ an emotional acoustic ballad about doing what you love while you can. ‘Teenagers’ feat. Against The Current which was serving emo nostalgia in the classic Summer Set way. And ‘Hard Candy,’ a pop rock ballad about never being able to pull away from someone’s grasp.
