Duran Duran is back at it again! The band announced a new 75-minute-long docu-concert film called A Hollywood High. The film is a mixture of live performances from a rooftop concert from Los Angeles, footage old and new from their time in the city, and interviews. With a worldwide release on November 3, 2022, we’re just wondering how many tickets we should reserve for the group screening! Let us know ASAP.
This film wraps up an incredible year for Duran Duran who is celebrating four entire decades together! Momentous anniversaries aside, they also released their 15th studio album FUTURE PAST this year. Add on their induction to the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, a massive North American world tour, and performances at numerous iconic events.
The performance seen in A Hollywood High was performed to a whopping audience of zero. Making this its first debut properly into the world. Directed by three different highly awarded directors and topped with a premiere screening with the band themselves on October 27th! Bassist John Taylor had this today about the film:
“Duran Duran have had an enduring relationship with the city of Los Angeles since the first time we came to America. We were determined to do something unique to celebrate our four decades together. A rooftop performance in LA with the Capitol Records building across the street and the Hollywood sign looming in the distance sounded perfect and turned out to be an extraordinary night for all of us.”
John Taylor
