We Told You So: The Artists From Our ‘Ones To Watch’ That Are Dominating!

Ever since we set up our hive that is The Honey POP, we’ve brought you an annual list of artists we claimed to be ones to watch. Four years into THP, we’ve been reminiscing and looking back at these hopeful musicians and sharing some of the many that we predicted would be big, with a humble little “we told you so!”

Maisie Peters

We predicted that Maisie Peters would be a big deal in our Ones To Watch for 2022. Having signed with Gingerbread Man Records back in 2021, she spent a lot of time this year on the road opening for her boss Ed Sheeran on the +–=÷x Tour which helped the world find out what our girl is all about. Maisie dropped bangers ‘Blonde,’ ‘Cate’s Brother,’ and ‘Not Another Rockstar’ which have helped to further her fanbase. She’s about to embark on a tour of her own in the US to end her firecracker of a year before touring the UK in Spring 2023.

ENHYPEN

Formed on i-LAND back in 2020, we predicted that ENHYPEN would be ones to watch in 2021, and they’ve been truly making a name for themselves ever since. They’ve already won a number of awards including Rookie of the Year at the Asia Artist Awards, New Artist of the Year at the Gaon Chart Music Awards, and Rookie Artist of the Year at the Golden Disk Awards. Earlier this year they landed their first No. 1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart with Manifesto: Day 1 and have also received several platinum certifications from KMCA and gold from RIAJ. They’ve gained a number of notable achievements including the fastest K-Pop group to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify as well as the fastest and youngest K-Pop group to have 2 million-seller albums. The only way is up for ENHYPEN!

They’ve also been nominated for the Mercury Prize and for Best Push at the MTV EMAs which is an exciting way to end this fire year they’ve been having.
