DWLLRS Was A Night To Remember In NYC

Coming off of the release of singles ‘Dividends’ and ‘You’re Gonna Cry,’ DWLLRS embarked on a live run throughout November. And we at THP were fortunate enough to catch them at Baby’s All Right in NYC.

Natives of California, DWLLRS is the duo project of Bren and Joey. Born while the two were students,  the duo’s sound captures a multifaceted range of emotions.  Which in ‘Dividends,’ pour into the fluidity of the band’s sound.

Standout moments of the night include the live rendition of ‘Ice Coffee’ and ‘Growing/Dying’ which through selective synths and a striking baseline, lead the audience through a melody that has us entranced and taken us elsewhere.

But for starters, let’s get into what y’all need to know. If you’re all for branching out beyond traditional indie and veering to dreampop – we’re thinking of folks we’ve checked out (think COIN and Kid Bloom!!) DWLLRS is a group you’re going to love.

And let us tell you, Honey Poppers, these are tracks you need to turn up, listen and just vibe out to. (We’re there right along with you!)

To show this incredibly talented group even more love, we’ve listed our go-to tracks here. And since we’re feeling it here at THP, that means you are going to as well.
