5SOS are at the top of our On Repeat playlists all year round, but there is something extra special about listening to 5SOS songs in Winter! Maybe it’s because their anniversary is in December, or maybe it’s because their music gets us, especially in our feels, just like the festive season does. No matter the weather, we’re always gonna find an excuse to listen to 5SOS, but here are a few of our fave songs to stream in those colder months!
‘Moodswings’
‘Moodswings’ is about us trying to cope with seasonal depression, actually. In all seriousness, we think this track is one of the highlights in the already-elite album 5SOS5, and we’ll take any extra excuse to listen to it! ‘Moodswings’ has the perfect energy for a winter walk, and it makes us wanna look up at the sky in the winter rain, but maybe that’s our main character energy jumping out…
‘Disconnected’
From the newest album era to the oldest! We’re never gonna let ‘Disconnected’ die, so you may as well just get used to us finding any excuse to talk about it. Technically speaking, we’d say 5SOS’ ‘Disconnected’ feels more like a nighttime song than a winter one, but considering how few daylight hours we get at the moment, we think it counts! Wait, should we have put ‘Daylight’ on here?…
‘Ghost Of You’

‘Airplanes’
One of the most euphoric things you can do in winter is go for a walk in weather that’s, like, 5% too cold. And another euphoria-inducing activity? Listening to SGFG. So combine the two by listening to 5SOS song on a winter walk? You’ll be ascending like ‘Airplanes.’ Ok, that was a bad joke, but we stand by what we said.
‘Best Years’
We don’t know about you, but for some reason, CALM feels like the most summery 5SOS album to us. But that won’t stop us from listening to it all winter too! Having said that, we love to feel cozy and comforted in those colder months, and what 5SOS song is cozier than ‘Best Years?’
