We all agree that missing a loved one is one of the hardest things ever, right? Well, at least we know Eric Punzo agrees with us based on his latest single, ‘If I Told You That I Missed You.’ This Toronto-based singer has been on our radar for some time now since he first showed up on our TikTok feed, and to see him releasing music and getting more and more popular is truly amazing.
The alt-pop single is Eric Punzo’s first love song and what a first experience with love songs this is. If this was the first, we can’t wait to hear all the ones to come in the future. In our humble opinion, the thing that makes this song so relatable is the fact that the song shows us the perspective of someone who misses another person but doesn’t tell them about it.
The lyrics and music video show us a person who doesn’t really know what they’re doing when it comes to love. Eric himself has mentioned that the village in the music video represented the romance and love he’s not really familiar with. And we’re sure many people relate to this feeling of not knowing how to act in the face of the feelings. And may we just say that the ending of the video hurt? Because it did. A lot.
But anyway, let’s move on before we cry ourselves into dehydration here. ‘If I Told You That I Missed You’ may be the first love song by Eric Punzo, but it and all his songs point to a single direction: huge success. The dude didn’t get his great social media following for nothing, right? And if you need further proof that this dude is going to be great, just know he had a sold-out show at the Rivoli, in Toronto, so… yeah, he’s awesome.
