MOA, take a deep breath. The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION is almost here! TXT are about to drop their brand new album, and one of the tracks we’re most excited for is ‘Happy Fools’ featuring Coi Leray.
The 4th Gen It Boys’ new album will contain five tracks: ‘Devil By The Window,’ ‘Happy Fools,’ ‘Tinnitus (I Want To Become A Rock),’ ‘Leaving Neverland,’ and title track ‘Sugar Rush Ride.’ From the previews we’ve seen so far, the songs are completely different from one another. It looks like TXT are capitalizing on their unique ability to transcend genre!
In the (almost!) four years since they debuted, TXT haven’t done a huge amount of collaborations, but every time they have, it’s been iconic. One of their biggest hits, and some of their most viral moments, have come from collaborations. They don’t mess about when it comes to sharing their artistry!
TXT and Coi Leray are both at the forefront of social media music promotion, and are highly admired in their respective fields. We couldn’t be more excited about this collab as it looks to be a real meeting of minds! Most excitingly of all, Coi Leray and every single member of TXT have writing credits on the track! Plus, 4th Gen It Boy, Choi Yeonjun, has actually revealed that he began writing ‘Happy Fools’ way back in The Dream Chapter: Eternity era and then put it to one side, so we’re so happy it’s finally getting its moment!
In case you couldn’t tell, we honestly couldn’t be more excited for The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION! ‘Happy Fools’ is one of the tracks we’re most anticipating, so we’re gonna take a look at some of TXT’s collabs so far, to get both you, and us, even more, hyped.
‘Valley of Lies’ TXT Featuring iann dior
Honestly, what would Summer 2022 have been without this song soundtracking our every move? One of our highlights of not only last summer, but the entire year, was TXT’s performance at Lollapalooza. TXT brought out iann for a performance of ‘Valley of Lies,’ and we’re already wondering if we’ll get a joint stage with Coi Leray at some point in 2023!
‘0x1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You)’ TXT Featuring Seori
Duh, you already knew this song would be on this list. ‘0x1=LOVESONG’ is not only one of TXT’s best collabs, but one of their best songs, period. The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE took TXT’s career to new heights, and it was deserved. The rock-influenced song, paired with TXT’s power and Seori’s dreamy vocals, is a match made in heaven.
‘BLOCKBUSTER’ ENHYPEN Featuring YEONJUN
What’s better than one of our favorite boy groups? Two of them! ENHYPEN and Yeonjun’s ‘Blockbuster’ is one of our favorite K-Pop collabs, and the joint performance at Weverse Con 2022 is on our minds 24/7. We love that this track gave Yeonjun’s rap, vocal, and songwriting talents an opportunity to shine in a different arena.
‘PS5’ Salem Ilese Featuring TXT
If there’s one thing TOMORROW X TOGETHER are gonna do when they collab with someone, it’s come up with a 10/10 TikTok dance to match it. We couldn’t escape ‘PS5’ on our FYP, and we loved when TXT brought Salem on stage at ACT: LOVESICK, just like they did with iann dior. Will TXT and Coi Leray, who are both known for their TikToks, be giving us our first viral moment of 2023?
P.S. (or should we say P.S.5?) Salem also has writing credits on The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION‘s title track ‘Sugar Rush Ride,’ and our excitement for that song couldn’t be sweeter!
‘0x1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You) (Japanese Version)’ TXT Featuring Ikuta Lilas
TXT never stop spoiling MOA, so one version of ‘0x1=LOVESONG’ just wouldn’t be enough. TXT’s Japanese songs always hit (hello, ‘Ring?!’), and this version features YOASOBI’s, Ikuta Lilas. We love how her powerful vocals reshape this song compared to the original! The alternative music video offers new insight into the song too, so we’re already mentally storyboarding the ‘Happy Fools’ music video, even if we don’t know what the track sounds like.
