6 New Tracks From January 2023 That You Need To Be Listening To

New music in 2023 including Charlotte Plank, Kid Culture, and Matilda Mann

If your New Year’s resolution was to find new music in 2023 … well, haven’t we got a treat for you! Here’s a run-down of the 6 hottest tracks released over the past month that you need to be streaming on repeat – we know we will be!

Charlotte Plank – ‘L.S.D’

This 21-year-old singer-songwriter is one to watch! Releasing her first two singles last year, this is someone you’re going to be hearing a lot more from. Her latest feel-good tune is “about the turbulent, habitual, addictive cycle of being in a toxic relationship,” says Charlotte, and we. Can’t. Stop. Listening.

‘L.S.D. (Love So Damaged)’ is as addictive as our ex is, this song treats us better though! Charlotte previously performed with Rudimental back in May, and it’s truly only up from here, this is an artist you need to jump on ASAP.

Charlotte will be opening on a few dates for mustbejohn on his UK tour in March, so grab your tickets here! Stream ‘L.S.D.’ here!

Kid Culture – ‘Keep It’

If this name rings a bell, that’s because Kid Culture has been one of the masterminds behind some of the hottest tracks – including ‘Yummy’ by Justin Bieber, Rich Brian’s ‘100 degrees,’ and many, many more. He’s now here with his own debut track, ‘Keep It,’ and you can tell this is a musical mastermind! Growing up surrounded by music, this is a creative who was born to do what he does.

If you’re missing summer, this song will transport you straight to a feel-good, care-free August, which is exactly where we want to be right now. Producers and songwriters turned artists are our favorite pipeline … nothing but tunes! With more music coming this year in 2023 and hopefully a debut album soon (fingers crossed), Kid Culture is here to stay.

Also this music video?? We’re obsessed. Stream ‘Keep It’ here!

Matilda Mann – ‘Borderline Insane’ Feat. Spill Tab

Coming from one of the hottest up-and-coming artists this year, Matilda Mann has partnered up with Spill Tab to give us an absolute banger! If it weren’t so cold, this song would definitely call for a drive with the windows down and music on full blast.

This is a collab we didn’t know we needed, but now we’re not sure how we were living without it. If you’re a fan of indie rock, or even if you aren’t aware of the genre, this is a song catered to everyone! Upbeat with two absolutely stunning voices, you’ll be breaking the repeat button with this one.

“‘Borderline Insane’ is about those times when you have no idea what to wear for a date and everything keeps going wrong and you look crazy cause you’re slightly going crazy! And while I’ve overthought every tiny detail, my date sat there looking perfect without even trying.”

Florence Arman – ‘Hello Florence, How Are You’

Florence isn’t a new name to grace our ears, and this stunning voice most definitely won’t be new to the rest of the world very soon. Florence explains “This is a bit silly, but I wrote this whole song about not wanting to write about something and avoiding the subject entirely. And although this song is essentially about nothing, it is so excruciatingly personal to the point where it feels quite odd to share.”

Florence writes all her own music and you can tell her lyrics come from her heart – this is an artist to listen to, take in and appreciate. If you’re obsessed already, be sure to check out her 2021 EP, Out Of The Blue, and prepare for more music from Florence in 2023!

FLØRE – ‘Zombie’

This one is for the pop-punk fans (us), and what an absolute tune this is! The song is about the on-and-off relationships with past lovers, Fløre explains, “They keep crawling back to you like mindless zombies, bringing back to life what was already dead.” We can’t express the number of times we’ve had to stand up and dance around our rooms to this song.
