Our favorite Illinois Sad Boys are back with their latest single, ‘Six Feet.’ Real Friends announced their new EP, There’s Nothing Worse Than Too Late, set to be released on February 24th via Pure Noise Records. This is their second EP since vocalist Cody Muraro joined the band. They released ‘Tell Me You’re Sorry’ a little under a year ago and ‘Always Lose’ back in May. It’s been a minute since they released a new song, but it was definitely worth the wait, in our opinion. You can check out the lyric video down below.
There’s no denying this song is an absolute banger. And we’re looking majorly forward to seeing it live while we finger-point and crowd-surf. It’s still important to remember the message behind it. You can see what the band said below.
‘Six Feet’ is a song about longing to be loved while you’re still here. I hear good things said about people after something bad happens to them or after they pass away. We need reminders to appreciate our loved ones that are here. This song is one of those reminders. 💔

It’s totally okay to be sad, but sometimes we need to take a moment to appreciate the people closest to us, and they do just that. Real Friends is known for lyrical masterpieces, but some of these lyrics hit us hard. “embrace the moments in between, happiness and tragedy, while my heart’s beating” To sum up our feelings in a single emoji? 💔 That’s all.

Luckily, with the EP being released in February, it gives us enough time to learn all of the lyrics before they kick off their co-headlining tour in March with Knuckle Puck, as well as Bearings and Between You & Me at select dates.
