13 Of Our Favorite TXT Songs That Were Written By TXT

In case you haven’t heard, here at THP, we’re pretty obsessed with TOMORROW X TOGETHER. They’re perfect all-rounders and the 4th Gen It Boys, so how could we not be? One of our favorite things about TXT is that all five of them are incredibly talented songwriters! On their newest album, The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION, three out of five songs were co-written by the members of TXT. We love these tracks so much, because not only are they iconic in their own right, but they’re also great examples of TXT’s songwriting prowess.

If you somehow don’t believe us, we’re gonna prove it to you. Here are some of the TXT songs written by TXT, to show you just how talented these guys are.

‘LO$ER=LOVER’

Of course, we had to start this list with one of TXT’s most beloved title tracks, ‘LO$ER=LOVER.’ This era saw TXT’s career reach a whole new level and had some of the group’s most iconic aesthetics. Thee 4th Gen It Boy Yeonjun co-wrote the song, including his rap verse, and the world was never the same again.

‘Frost’

From one iconic TXT aesthetic to another: ‘Frost!’ TXT are never better than when they’re just that little bit too creepy, and that’s precisely what ‘Frost’ is. With lyrics co-written by Yeonjun, we’re once again showcasing that The Chaos Chapter era saw TXT step their songwriting up about 304 levels.

‘Maze In The Mirror’

‘Maze In The Mirror’ was the first TXT song written by all five members and the first to be produced by Beomgyu, so it will have a place in our hearts forever. Depicting their difficult times as trainees, we will always be impressed by TXT’s openness (and talent!), even so early on in their careers.

‘Dear Sputnik’

From Producer Beomgyu to Producer Huening Kai! Imagine having a maknae who is also a musical prodigy? Only TXT can relate. ‘Dear Sputnik’ will have us eternally hoping for a full rock album from tubatu, but in the meantime, this song is more than enough to keep us happy.

‘No Rules’

We’re, once again, never shutting up about ‘No Rules!’ All TXT members except Soobin participated in the writing of this retro pop-punk-influenced track. Beomgyu going quiet when he felt bad for pointing out that Soobin is the only member who didn’t co-write this one lives rent-free in our heads almost as much as the choreography does.

‘Tinnitus (I wanna become a rock)’

‘Tinnitus’ is one of the newest anthems in TXT’s discography, but it’s already taken the world by storm. Written by our Nyangnyangz, Yeonjun, and Taehyun, the song has Afrobeat influences and features English wordplay. Get you a group who can do it all!

‘Lonely Boy (The tattoo on my ring finger)’

A round of applause for Big Huening Kai and Little Yeonjun! Although these days, aren’t they Big Yeonjun and Little Huening Kai? TXT’s eldest and youngest members gifted us with ‘Lonely Boy’ in 2022 and we’ve never recovered. It offers some of Kai’s best vocals and everyone, including TXT, is rightly obsessed with Yeonjun’s rap.

‘Farewell Neverland’

‘Farewell Neverland’ is TXT’s favorite track on The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION, and it’s one of ours too. The song, co-written by Yeonjun, showcases TXT’s storytelling capabilities and once again has us praying for a TXT rock era!

‘Ring’

‘Ring’ is the first Japanese-language song that our tubatu have credits on! Yeonjun, Taehyun, and Huening Kai all helped compose the track, and we couldn’t love it more if we tried. TXT’s Japanese tracks are always so ethereal, and we’d love to see them expand their writing and composition in these styles!

‘MOA Diary (Dubaddu Wari Wari)’

You didn’t think we’d leave ‘MOA Diary’ off this list, did you? But then how would we “Wari Wari?” TXT’s first fan song was written by all five members and will live in our hearts forever. It’s sweet, fun, and encouraging, which are all things that come to mind when MOA think about TXT!

‘Ghosting’

One thing you can rely on from TXT? The opening track on every album will always be a fan favorite. Taehyun and Soobin co-wrote ‘Ghosting,’ a retro 80s and nu-gaze-style track that articulates the modern phenomenon of being ghosted. TXT’s ability to encapsulate youth in the present moment is pretty much unparalleled.

‘Thursday’s Child Has Far To Go’

Producer Beomgyu strikes again! The closing track from minisode 2: Thursday’s Child is a true fan-favorite too, and for good reason! The unit track is performed by Soobin, Taehyun, and Beomgyu, written by the latter two, and produced by TXT’s resident Piscean producer Beomgyu.

‘Happy Fools’

How else could we finish this list? ‘Happy Fools’ from their latest album, The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION, was written by all five members of TXT! In fact, Yeonjun helped compose the track and wrote his rap verse in this TXT-only version. TXT always got us feeling “H-A-P-P-Y!”

So, we think we’re all in agreement that TXT are some of the very best songwriters out there, right?
