One of our favorite things about NiziU’s music is how dreamy and unique it is, so you could imagine just how excited we were to hear their serene new track, ‘Paradise!’ It goes from a mellow, calming track to having a pop-rock energy on the chorus… and yes, that technically shouldn’t work, but come on, it’s NiziU we’re talking about here. These girls could sing the words of a grocery store receipt and we’d be blown away. They’re that good.
‘Paradise’ makes us feel like we’re floating on a layer of fluffy clouds, watching as a sunset below unfolds into peachy oranges and soft pinks. Maybe having a little picnic up there, too. It’s simply magical, and with lyrics like “beyond the two rainbows, there is a shining fountain,” it really feels like something straight out of a dream. If you’re a fan of BLACKPINK’s ‘STAY’ or aespa’s ‘ICU,’ this will be right up your alley!
We first got to hear a bit of ‘Paradise’ as the ending song of the Doraemon TV show starting in January, and now, ‘Paradise’ is part of the Doraemon: Nobita’s Sky Utopia soundtrack! We can’t wait to see how it complements the movie, and how the film will bring NiziU’s talent to a whole new audience.
And in another amazing crossover, ‘Paradise’ features writing credits and production by none other than Stray Kids’ 3RACHA unit! We love it any time two of our fave JYP Entertainment groups cross paths, but this just has to take the cake as our favorite NiziU x SKZ interaction. Bang Chan even directed the girls in the studio, and we love that he encouraged them to do what felt natural to them while recording.
With the warm weather quickly approaching, we’re so excited to have ‘Paradise’ as the soundtrack to our spring memories! This song really makes us feel like we can do anything, so we couldn’t think of a better addition to our playlists. “Let’s fly, fly, and fly” towards our goals and stay positive!
