The Forecast Looks Bright, Thanks To These New Songs From Weathers!

We at The Honey POP love Weathers. Who doesn’t?! They recently released two songs from their upcoming album, Are We Having Fun?, set to be released May 5th via Sumerian Records. If you haven’t already, you can pre-save and pre-order the album here. They also have some pretty cool merch pre-order bundles, including vinyl. We’re definitely ordering it!

‘She Hates Me’

This is their latest single, giving us the chill vibe that Weathers is known for. While it sounds laid back, the song itself is about conflicting thoughts and emotions. A”right person, wrong time” scenario, which ends up being frustrating for everyone.

“She hates me, she couldn’t change my mind
Cause this time, I’m working on myself, not for someone else,
Now I can’t sleep, I’m looking at you so differently,
I want you for myself, not for someone else…”

The lyric video really encapsulates the emotion of the song with a car. It drives smoothly, but then it gets flipped upside down, representing the turbulence that mixed emotions can bring. You can watch it below.

ICYMI: they also released another new song last month. We know it’s hard to keep up with all these new releases, but we got you covered. Let’s recap.

‘ALL CAPS’ Feat. John The Ghost

We’ll say it in all caps: AN ABSOLUTE BANGER! Weathers first performed this on their last tour back in May, and John O’Callaghan of The Maine made a special appearance for it! This high-energy song is still very much Weathers, but you can still hear John’s influence, making it the perfect collaboration.

“I love who we were last week
You see his name and forget about me, and
One ring and you don’t call back
Ask me where I’m at, so I wrote back in ALL CAPS…”

Like all of Weathers’ music videos, the one for ‘ALL CAPS’ is elaborate and well-thought-out. It really captures the essence of the song and all of the emotions that come with having someone toy with your heart. We also love the little nod to their 2016 song, ‘Happy Pills.’

Are they going to play any of these songs on their upcoming tour? Well, the best way to find out is by going! You can get tickets here. Wouldn’t it be crazy if John O’Callaghan makes an on-stage appearance again, during ‘ALL CAPS’ like he did during their last tour? Haha, …unless? 👀
