Tia Kofi, spectacular drag art, live vocals for days, and a charitable cause? Count us in!
With a 45 minute setlist full of her own music and an iconic Britney Spears cover, Tia set the place alight with her stage presence and energy at London’s Moth Club. The venue was the perfect fit for an artist like Tia, with glittery ceilings and shiny backdrops, it was as camp as you can get. Having safe LGBTQ+ spaces is so important, and having events like Tia’s is good for the soul. Not only are night’s like this incredibly educational and insightful, but they are possibly the most fun you can ever have.
Tia Kofi worked with Youth Music for this spectacular night, raising money as part of their ‘Give A Gig’ week. Youth Music are a charity made to support young people in music, helping young people learn new skills, make their own music, and figuring out career paths within the industry. Such an incredible cause added a touch of extra magic to this incredible evening.
While we often expect flawless lip-syncing covers from most Drag shows, which is absolutely iconic, that wasn’t Tia! Owning the stage with her original songs and her own vocals, this performance was a sight to behold, that’s for sure! Tia Kofi even treated us to an iconic cover of Britney Spears’ ‘Toxic!’ The audience was having a blast, singing along to every word, dancing, screaming and jumping – matching Tia’s energy perfectly. Not only was the crowd dressed to the nines, but this crowd served some of the most vibrant outfits we’ve seen. And of course, Tia Kofi was in full glam looking absolutely stunning. We need an outfit like this!
Now, when we say Tia set the place alight we don’t mean literally. That would be one hell of an issue with health and safety. We do however mean that she ruled that stage like she’d been doing this since before she was born. With everything from her little dances, to the fits and the crowd interaction, it was so much fun to be around. We had a ball at Tia Kofi in London!
