We Can’t Get Over Dea Doyle!

We are big fans of discovering new indie gems to listen to on repeat. We love to relax along with our biggest discoveries of the year, and Dea Doyle is ticking all our boxes! This London-based artist has an unforgettable voice and perfect instrumentals that fit the genre in the best way possible. We instantly thought to share her music with all of you. Let’s go over her three official releases and what we like the most about each track!

‘Over You’

Dea’s newest single is all about feeling free after leaving that relationship that was giving you a headache. Our favorite part about the song is that it tells a story about getting your independence back and not caring so much about the past. Also, the soft instrumental at the beginning of the track that situates to the drums and Dea’s sweet voice is so well-done. ‘Over You’ is an instant add to your playlists that will absolutely make you feel carefree about those past decisions that might torment you.

I wrote this song at a time in my life where I felt liberated, thinking if I can get over someone I once loved then maybe I’ll never need anyone ever again.

Dea Doyle about ‘Over You’

‘Make a Living’

The perfect new jam to chill in your bedroom! We fell in love with the guitar that accompanies Dea’s voice. Although ‘Make a Living’ includes an ethereal instrumental, the lyrics are incredibly deep, as they detail that anxious feeling of being unfulfilled. “Get me out, let me just make a living from what I’m singing” is so relatable to those that want to make a mark in this world with their musical talent. It’s just the perfect indie track that deserves more recognition!

‘New Lover’

We feel completely on cloud nine while listening to this song! ‘New Lover’ is Dea’s more romantic song out of her discography, and it makes us feel all of the butterflies. The chorus and the instrumental are the ideal combo! Can we just make a coming-of-age movie and include this song in the soundtrack? It’s just so good! 💝
