True to it, back in February, we went ‘Wild Tonight’ as SB19’s Josh Cullen marked his solo debut, and now, we are more in love as he shares his artistry on another level and appeals with ‘Pakiusap Lang.’
Following the success of his vampire-themed solo debut single ‘Wild Tonight,’ SB19’s Josh Cullen released his second single ‘Pakiusap Lang.’ The track, translated as “Please” in English, is a gem guaranteed to make hearts feel emotions with its mellow mix to hip-hop. It is a 360-degree turn from his debut track, and it is more than enough to prove his versatility and capability!
The lyrics revolve around and emphasize the pains and challenges of a relationship while still being hopeful that things will fall into place. And as an accompaniment to the song, the music video featured the story of lovers and a twist.
Message From The Heart: Holding On
SB19 Josh Cullen expressed his musical color and personality by writing the heartfelt words of ‘Pakiusap Lang.’ Bearing a message of holding on to love, the song hinted at sacrifices and longing for a lover. Some lines even stated the willingness to overcome obstacles together, fulfill desires, and compensate for the lost time.

Last December (2022), we had the chance to interview SB19, and they shared with us how hands-on they are in honing their crafts. And with his solo debut, Josh Cullen continued to wow us with his skills as he is credited for the concept and creative direction of the track’s music video.

Melancholic. Warm. Cinematic. The visual storytelling of his track captured the thoughts the song wanted to convey, and we were fully seated for it. From the visual composition and up to the color grading, it is a chef’s kiss. And we do know it is effective — it didn’t stop in our eyes; it reached our hearts.
On the other hand, it is also a must to mention Josh’s acting potential; together with members of the P-Pop girl group KAIA, Angela, and Charice, they delivered an excellent dramatic performance and simulated our feelings.
