There’s No Bad Blood Between Us & Bastille’s ‘No Angels’

We never have a shortage of good things to say about Bastille. This year marks the 10-year anniversary of their iconic album, Bad Blood, and it’s not like we ever got over ‘Laura Palmer’ or ‘Weight Of Living Pt. II.’ So naturally, we’ve been dying over anything and everything Bad Blood X related! And if the announcement of the tour, vinyl, CDs, and new merch wasn’t enough to make you go weak in the knees, how about the long-awaited release of ‘No Angels?’ That’s right, ‘No Angels’ is legally out on all streaming platforms and will grace the 2-CD edition of Bad Blood X!

Die-hard Bastille fans have been waiting for this track to hit streaming platforms again since it was ripped from their hands years ago. ‘No Angels’ was a part of the beloved mixtape series Other People’s Heartache Pt.2. It’s an absolutely flawless blend of TLC’s ‘No Scrubs’ and The xx’s ‘Angels,’ which the band started to play during their batch of shows leading up to their current tour with Duran Duran. To say that fans were stoked is an absolute understatement. So much of one that even Dan himself has made jokes about its infamous origin countless times onstage and online.

We Feel ‘Overjoyed’

This is only one of the many incredible things coming with the release of Bad Blood X. The re-release features 3 brand-new demos, 2 other covers, and live recordings of some of Bad Blood‘s hits. This release could not be more about the fans, and boy, are we feeling insanely loved! Oh yeah, we almost forgot to mention that the vinyl release offers even more treats. A 7″ vinyl includes two unheard demos: ‘Racing Heart,’ which is the original version of ‘Laura Palmer,’ and songs recorded in Dan’s bedroom, including our beloved ‘Poet.’ Dan had this to say about the landmark album’s re-release:

When I started working on the songs that became Bad Blood 10 years ago at a laptop in my bedroom, I never imagined that they’d be heard by so many people and then take us all over the world. It’s really mad to think about.
