Neck Deep seems to love escapism, and so do we, and that’s why Neck Deep’s newest single, ‘Take Me With You’ has been on repeat. The Welsh pop-punk quartet has been around for years (we don’t wanna talk about it) and has been putting out music that has spoken to us at each point of our childhood. And they still manage to create even more soundtracks for our lives. We’re guessing they’re gearing up to release a new album, obviously, because what else do singles mean? (There hasn’t been an announcement, but we can manifest, right?)
As of late, we’ve been low-key dissociated with the news constantly filtering what feels like everything but actually good news, and it gets exhausting. Neck Deep feels the same way, apparently, feeling a bit lost in this “hellish sack of burning trash” and just wanting to be anywhere but here. Sounds a little too real, huh?
There’s something about the quartet’s songs that don’t get enough credit. There’s a sense of authenticity that you can’t find in a lot of bands. They’re fully committed to being pop-punk, sure they’ve used and dabbled with other genres, but the heart that they bring to pop-punk music is just what people need.
Oh, and their goofy music video and decked-out website (seriously, check it out, it’s so good) are just bonuses.
All we have to say is if Neck Deep gets abducted, we get abducted, too. If they get away from this “hellish” planet, we want in, too. Do you feel the same? Or is there another recent Neck Deep single that captured your attention? Send us a tweet, or find us on Facebook and Instagram and let us know what you think.
For more pop-punk, we’ve got you.
