Listen, we’re all for the When We Were Young Fest 2024 lineup. Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance? Just picture it. But, we’re so stoked that more bands, particularly female-fronted bands were added to the lineup. Especially since there were so many that were the soundtrack of our adolescence and deserve recognition. Here are some of our favorite female-fronted bands we can’t wait to see next year!
Hey Monday — Hold On Tight
We’re Cassadee Pope stans, first and foremost. We absolutely adore her solo music. But to see Hey Monday in the year 2024? We can’t believe it. We’ve held on tight to their debut album for 15 years now and haven’t let go. Also, it’s honestly the perfect ‘homecoming,’ since she killed it at WWWYF 2023 and the sideshow!

We Are The In Crowd — Weird Kids
You already know how much we miss and love We Are The In Crowd. All of their albums mean so much to us, but especially, Weird Kids. The absolute range of the album is incredible. ‘Long Live The Kids?’ Our teenage anthem. ‘Windows In Heaven?’ A beautiful and heart-wrenching masterpiece. But we’re extra excited because we need to scream our lungs out to ‘The Best Thing (That Never Happened).’ For personal reasons.

Tonight Alive — The Other Side
Do you ever think, “Man, I’d kill to see Tonight Alive again.” Because we do. A lot. So we were so stoked to find out they’re also on the lineup! And they’re playing The Other Side? Our dreams are coming true. This may have come out a decade ago, but it hasn’t left our hearts. It’s honestly one of our favorites, if we had to choose.

Daisy Grenade
We may not have listened to Daisy Grenade when we were young, but we definitely can’t stop listening to them now! They’ve toured with some of our other faves like Fall Out Boy and Young Culture, just to name a few. We vibe with all of their songs, but their new EP, Cult Classic is definitely a contender for one of our favorite EPs of the year. If you haven’t already, give it a listen now!

Against The Current — Gravity
Can we talk about the latest addition to the lineup?! Against The Current was just announced! We’re so incredibly stoked because we’ve been listening to them since Infinity. We absolutely love their new music, but to hear Gravity in 2024? A dream come true. Side note: they’re also currently on their EU/UK tour and you can get tickets now.
