Ross and Rocky Lynch continue to drive us wild with new music drop after new music drop 😍. They simply can do no wrong, from style to lyrics to swag and more. We have to admit that the rumors are true, and we’re obsessed with The Driver Era! We’re going crazy over their newest single and music video, ‘Rumors.’ No more chatter; it’s time to take a deep dive into the song, video, and even more reasons why we 💘 Ross and Rocky.
The Music Video
Now that we’ve watched the video about 40 million times, I’m sure you can agree with us when we confidently say O-M-G! The video opens with Ross relaxed in a vintage armchair, draped in the finest red suit, white painted nails, and silver jewelry. His swag is giving Bruno Mars mixed with a possible Harry Styles/Jack Chambers moment 😎. Something about it is also giving Troye Sivan in the ‘Got Me Started’ music video. From vintage showroom to subway car, Ross transitions into a plain white T-shirt and jeans, but we love fit nonetheless.
Rocky finally makes a grand entrance, reading a newspaper 📰 and looking oh so mighty fine. Viewers are taken to a cold and dreary laboratory or something like that. Ross is seen shaking some serious hips in a blue tuxedo and sporting black sunglasses. Before we can even blink, we’re transported to sprawling hills…with goats? And a giant fan? As Beyonce once said, “I gotta fan myself off.” But hey, we see the vision!
The Lyrics
Though the lyrics don’t quite match the stills from the video, we love them too. Ross and Rocky tell the story of someone who is yearning to know every detail about Ross’s life. I mean, us too! “I bet you wish you knew the truth about the things I do,” The Driver Era sings, “Caught you starin’, and I love it, yeah.” There are a lot of staring eyes, but the boys love it and have zero complaints.
Speaking of zero complaints, there’s not one negative thing we have to say about this video or song! The ‘Rumors’ are true, and there’s no coming back from them! We will stare at Ross and Rocky all day and yearn to know what their day-to-day life looks like 👀.
