If Elyanna‘s name is new to you, or if you’ve been hearing it more often lately, we’re here to fill in the blanks. We recently attended the WOLEDTO US Tour and left with an experience few shows manage to deliver. Rooted in heritage, Elyanna’s performance felt like a generational story—enriched by family involvement, from her music’s soul to her sister’s custom-designed outfits.
With a minimalist stage set up, her and her dancers captivated entirely, bringing intensity and grace with every step. At a time when cries for change resonate worldwide, Elyanna’s message feels even more urgent and inspired. Elyanna’s Boston stop showed us not only the depth of her artistry but also how she connects cultures, emotions, and voices with unforgettable passion.
ZEEMUFFIN
With ZEEMUFFIN setting the tone, the night started off strong. Known for her creative flair and unapologetic girl-boss presence, she’s carving out a name in the late-night music scene. Born in Lahore, Pakistan and raised in New York, Zainab Hasnain—aka ZEEMUFFIN—infuses her Pakistani heritage into her sound, balancing tradition with fresh, club-ready beats that resonate globally. The crowd arrived early, ready to dance and vibe, and cheered until her final mix. ZEEMUFFIN doesn’t just cater to her audience; she draws them into her world, making her an artist to watch as she continues to rise in the industry.
Elyanna’s Roots Run Deep
Elyanna has been unstoppable on and off the stage these past few years. From recently collaborating with Coldplay on a new single to speaking out about the current war in the Middle East, she has shown a powerful commitment to her roots and her growing fan community. Her music is deeply tied to her Palestinian heritage, yet she makes it relatable and accessible, smoothly bringing tradition with fresh contemporary sounds.
Elyanna’s dedication goes beyond accolades; it’s about building connection, i.e. when she became the first artist to perform a fully Arabic set at Coachella in 2023. It feels she has a clear path in the music industry—one driven by passion, cultural pride, and an ever-expanding vision.
At the Show
With the WOLEDTO EP out since April, Elyanna has been touring the latest set of songs. Boston welcomed her warmly, and when she took the stage after ZEEMUFFIN, the crowd’s roar was instant. From her dancers to her elegant, custom-designed outfits, every element highlighted her raw talent, with no distractions—just her voice and message. She gave soulful renditions of songs like ‘Olive Branch (Ghosn Zeytoun),’ dedicated to those struggling in Gaza and across the Middle East, and performed fan favorites like ‘We Pray’ and ‘Ganeni.’ The energy was electric, with fans of all ages—including children on shoulders waving Palestinian flags—singing along. Though the show ended earlier than usual, it left us with memories that will last until her next Boston visit.
