We attended the Charm tour in Philadelphia on Saturday and watched Clairo perform her third studio album, Charm.
To start the show, Clairo walked out with her band onto a carpet-covered stage and immediately, there was an intimate and friendly feeling between the audience and the band members. The band sat beside each other on the floor and shared a few drinks before performing and it felt like we were included in Clairo’s studio session, as the stage was set up to feel retro but cozy.
Clairo and her bandmates dispersed and performed ‘Nomad’ from her 2024 release, Charm. She rocked a headset in front of the shiny, 70’s gold-inspired backdrop, and paid homage to her breakthrough album Immunity by singing her hit songs ‘North’ and ‘Softly.’ Screams erupted when Clairo performed ‘How,’ ‘4EVER,’ and ‘Flaming Hot Cheetos’ from her diary 001 – EP released in May 2018.
Fans jumped and danced as Clairo filled Franklin Music Hall with soft melodies and retro energy, and she noted how packed the venue was. Thousands of audience members pulled out their phones to document her hit song, ‘Bags.’ During the performance of ‘Bags,’ not a single fan was silent; every fan was screaming the lyrics, and many crowd members hugged their friends and partners tightly. As the show came to a close, Clairo told her fans that they should not worry because she would be back. She introduced her bandmates and sang her final song of the evening – ‘Juna.’
The Charm Tour was filled with songs from every era of Clairo’s music, appealing to all fans. Plan to see the charming show, where Clairo performs her third studio album, in a city near you – you don’t want to miss it.
