2019 is the year of Jonas. We’ve had the big reunion of the Jonas Brothers, Joe Jonas got married and now Nick Jonas joins The Voice as a coach!
Nick will be joining the NBC singing competition as a coach for Season 18, airing Spring 2020.
“I’m so excited to be a part of The Voice family,” Jonas said in a statement. “It’s such an awesome group of individuals, and I can’t wait to help these artists really build and hone in to find their unique voices.”
Nick will be taking a big red seat next to the likes of Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Blake Shelton, replacing Miss Gwen Stefani on the lineup.
So as Nick Jonas joins The Voice, let’s take a look at some of our favorite coaches over the years.
Pharrell took a seat on the judges panel from seasons 7-10 and While it wasn’t about the competition, he prioritised his contestants and had the art of making them know that they’re unique.
While she didn’t always make the best decisions, Miley had the best intentions for her contestants at heart and was always very involved with them during the entire process. She was a judge for seasons 11 and 13.
Before jetting off to London to coach on The Voice UK, JHud took her big red chair on the panel for seasons 13 and 15. She was full of vivacity and seems to still carry that quality across the pond.
Throwing it back to the early days, Shakira was a judge on The Voice for seasons 4 and 6. She was so warm and genuine when it came to coaching, so we were bitterly disappointed that none of her contestants got to the final. We still love you, girly!
Our girl, Xtina, was the first woman to have a winning contestant when she led Alisan Porter to first place. She was 100% a determinate coach.
So, as Nick Jonas joins The Voice we can’t help but want to know – are you excited a JoBro will be on the judges pannel?
