It’s the final quarter of the year. The weather is changing, the holidays are coming… oh, and the BBC R1 Teen Awards 2019 nominations have been announced!
The ceremony takes place in the UK and puts teen listeners to BBC Radio 1 in charge to call the shots on their favorites of the year. The awards consist of seven categories – mostly consisting of music – where younger fans can vote on their faves and attend the prestigious ceremony in London.
Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, Shawn Mendes, and Lewis Capaldi take the lead in nominations, with each of them being listed in two categories.
Ariana Grande, Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, Little Mix, and Post Malone are also amongst the nominees. Definitely some worthy contenders right there!
Yungblud, Jax Jones and nominee AJ Tracey are set to perform at the star-studded event, so we’re super stoked to tune in!

The ceremony will be taking place on Sunday 24th November with viewers at home being able to watch on BBC 2 30th November. Applications for tickets to the ceremony are open from 8am Monday 28th October until 5pm Friday 31st October from here.
