Avril Lavigne has popped back into the spotlight over recent months, with the announcement of her new album and a subsequent US tour to promote it.
The Canadian songstress has announced much to the delight of fans, that because the US leg of the tour was so successful.
She’s taking it worldwide! She’ll be making stops in London, Milan, Paris, and Vienna among a host of other cities in March/April 2020 before heading on to Japan, China and Southeast Asia.
She will be performing songs from her latest album ‘Head above water’ as well as many of her absolute classics, that many fans will remember from her teenage years including “Complicated” and “Sk8er Boi”.
“We had the most amazing time performing on the U.S. Head Above Water Tour! I can’t believe how quickly it went by. Seeing all your faces each night and feeling your energy was exactly what I needed. I truly missed being up onstage and singing with you has brought me so much happiness”
Avril spoke of her happiness after the US leg of the tour, before going on to announce her worldwide tour 2020
Her fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight at the news, many of them following her since her rise to fame in 2002.

Tickets for the tour go on presale on Wednesday October 16th. With General sale starting at 9am on Friday October 18th.
The singer has previously spoken of her diagnosis with Lyme disease. Further to this, there will be a £2 or €2 donation from each ticket sold being donated to the Avril Lavigne foundation. This will help to support people living with Lyme disease, serious illnesses, and disabilities.
