Sam Smith’s New Single Will Make You Feel Love

It’s no secret that Sam Smith is absolutely killing the music game, and they obviously have no plan on stopping anytime soon. Smith is coming in hot with yet another release, and we are absolutely blown away. Sam Smith’s new single “I Feel Love” puts a modern twist on Donna Summer’s classic 1977 hit, and we can’t get enough.

If you are as in love with Sam Smith’s angelic vocals as we are, you are in for a treat. “I Feel Love” was seemingly a perfect match for them; every high note is graciously hit and their vocals pair with the original song perfectly. Pair that with the original song’s iconic electronic background, and you have the recipe for your new favorite song.

Smith also has a special connection with the song, sharing to Twitter a short yet personal backstory. They wrote: “[a]s a queer person ‘I Feel Love’ has followed me to every dance floor in every queer space from the minute I started clubbing. This song to me is an anthem of our community and it was an honour and most importantly so much fun to have a go at it…” I’m not tearing up, you are.

Sam Smith’s New Single Blows Fans Away

Fans of Smith, as well as fellow singers, have taken to Twitter to show their love and support for the song that Smith undoubtedly had done justice to. I’m glad I’m not the only one completely and utterly shook by every aspect of this new release; this is definitely one worth talking about.

This revamped version of an already classic is sure to be Smith’s next big hit. If and when this single soars to the top of the charts as I predict, it will be joining a majority of their other songs including most recently “Dancing With a Stranger” and “How Do You Sleep.”

Fans of the original Donna Summer’s version are sure to be pleased as Smith most definitely did the song justice. Whether you are a fan of Sam Smith or not, I can guarantee this new release will absolutely stun you.

The single dropped today, November 1st, and is available for purchase and streaming at all of their digital partners. The single will be featured in Target’s holiday campaign; if these angelic vocals don’t get you into the holiday spirit, I don’t know what will, tbh.
