Well, things are about to get interesting in the world of talent shows and TV as Simon Cowell is working on a brand new talent contest and it’s set to air the same time as the new Little Mix talent contest.

This year saw a major change in ‘The X Factor’ as the main show was replaced with ‘The X Factor: Celebrity’ and now the music mogul is set to launch ‘The X Factor: The Band’ which is a pretty similar set up to ‘Little Mix: The Search‘.
There’s currently a feud between the biggest girl group and their former boss, Simon, after they parted ways from his record label last year, just days before they dropped their album ‘LM5’.

Simon decided to stir the pot when he spoke to The Sun about the whole ordeal.
“This is what really happened. I was approached to co-produce that show last year by Little Mix’s management. I told them the problem was we have a conflict of interest because we are launching X Factor The Band in 2020. We were told their show was going to launch in 2021.
“Then we had the fall-out and find out Little Mix were bringing their show forward. Was that intentional because we are doing our show? I have no idea. But regardless, it was too much fun not to do this year. I would rather it was us doing it first.
“It 100% makes it more exciting there being a battle.”
Little Mix will be taking on their new roles as mentors in their up-and-coming talent search, with the winners being presented with the opportunity to join the chart-topping group on their summer tour in 2020.
News of ‘The X Factor: The Band’ comes shortly after it was announced exclusively by The Mirror that ‘The X Factor: All-Stars’ has been scrapped at last minute. According to the British tabloid, Simon has been ‘struggling to get big-name former stars to take part”. The tea is hot!

Leona Lewis is among those believed to have backed out, which caused Cowell to cancel his 60th birthday party last week and flew in his closest confidantes for advice and allegedly sacked six staff in a week as he worked tirelessly to save his brand.
Meanwhile, Little Mix are currently on the UK leg of their ‘LM5: The Tour’ and brought out some iconic guests they have previously collabed with, including Stormzy and Camille. It was everything.
They’re also set to release their clothing line with Pretty Little Thing later this week, so it’s all going up-stream for the girls!
What do you reckon – will ‘The X Factor: The Band’ be something for Little Mix to worry about? Or will their brand spanking new talent show be the one to rake in the numbers? Vote in our poll below and let us know in the comments or by tweeting us @TheHoneyPOP while we run out to get some popcorn.
