Niall Horan is gearing up to get back on the road next year as part of the NH2 era and we are so freaking ready!
Last week, Niall got on Instagram live to announce the first leg of the ‘Nice To Meet Ya’ Tour which will be kicking off in North America next April. The arena tour will see him accompanied by his best friend, Lewis Capaldi and good pal, Fletcher as the trio embark on a month-long trip of the states. With more tour dates and legs promised to be announced very shortly, we cannot help but get so hyped over what tour is going to be like! Here are X things we’d love to see on the ‘Nice To Meet Ya’ Tour. Niall, if you’re reading this, take note.
Niall rising up from underneath the stage
Listen, the anticipation of this happening at One Direction‘s tours back in the day was truly phenomenal. There’s something so truly thrilling about it. So, it would be amazing to bring that feeling back as we watch Niall slowly appear on stage as we lose total control of our shit as he rises up.
More piano time
Niall hopping on the piano for ‘So Long’ on the ‘Flicker World Tour’ was truly cathartic and enjoyable. It brought the energy down to let us truly get in touch with the emotions of the song, so we’d love to get more of that this tour, assuming we’ll get some piano-based ballads. A few of his Instagram lives have been in front of his piano at home, so we’re hoping that was a lowkey indicator that we’ll be getting just that with NH2.
That damn collab with Lewis Capaldi
Both he and Lewis have teased a collab, with Niall saying if they think it’s good enough, it may very well end up as one of the tracks on his yet-to-be-named album. Listen, Horan. You know, Lewis knows, we know, the world knows that this song is pure gold and will be an incredible addition to the album. Plus it’ll really add an incredibly special moment on the ‘Nice To Meet Ya’ Tour where two besties perform together and the crowd goes wild. Just give us what we want, please.
Pranks on tour
With best friends on tour comes the perfect opportunity for pranks. As well as his BFF Lewis, their good pal Fletcher will be on the ‘Nice To Meet Ya’ Tour alongside the troublesome twosome so we hope that she gets to pull as many pranks on them as they will probably plan on her. We hope we get videos of them online and even better if we witness them in person.
We’re also quite partial to him pulling a few pranks on some fans. Someone whip out the prosthetics!
While Niall needs to take a break between songs (for the bathroom, to get a drink, change guitars, whatever), we’d absolutely love to see some visuals during the interludes. Maybe some behind-the-scenes footage, some candid moments or even a cheeky sketch or two since we all know Niall nails impressions like nobody else. It’s the chance to get to see his comedic side a little more and we are craving it so much.
A phenomenal crowd reception
This one’s all up to you. There’s no better feeling at a concert for both the artists and the attendees than the fans uniting together to sing, scream, dance and embrace the atmosphere together. Niall is forever working so hard on his craft as a performer and musician and we need to make sure that we go hard from the moment the show begins right down to when he’s already left the stage and pegged it backstage to get ready to leave. You can pack your cough drops and soothers in your bag in case you scream a little too intensely.
Tickets for the North American leg of Niall Horan’s ‘Nice To Meet Ya’ Tour goes on general sale tomorrow, November 8th at 10AM local time. Online ticket purchases for U.S. shows come with one physical CD copy per ticket order. For more info on tickets, sales and the tour, click here.
