We can now find the beautiful Anitta on the cover of Schon Magazine for their latest issue. Now this is the coverage she deserves. The Brazilian superstar talks about her rise to stardom– from living in Favela to reaching fame– and her genre of music.
Named among the world’s 15th most influential musicians on social media by Billboard, Anitta represents the new generation of Latin American music. With over 40 millions followers on Instagram, it is clear that she is a total fan favorite. You go, girl!
We’ve also learned a thing or two from her covering the magazine.
When asked about her genre and how it would appeal to the rest of the world, she feels that it’s more about the passion of music and creating fire beats.
“It’s just a matter of having an artist that is so in love with [the music] to keep pushing the rhythm. I definitely think it can happen with Funk now.”Shama, Schon Magazine
Reach for the stars!
Just like most of us when we were younger, she had always dreamed of becoming a star, and she ended up speaking that into existence!
“When I was a little kid I would tell my family, ‘I’m going to be a big superstar.’ Now they see that it was all true!”Shama, Schon Magazine
As she continued to grow, she became more competitive and taught herself confidence. No one is ever perfect, nor do they have the perfect journey.
“I’m a normal person. I’m not perfect. Sometimes I will make mistakes. I’m super competitive. I don’t like to lose. My confidence came from my wish to never stoop down for other people.”Shama, Schon Magazine
Dream big, children! Anitta had big dreams since she was a child, and look where she is now!
Stay humble, and remember who you are.
To Anitta, it is never about the amount of fame or money she wants to have. What’s more important is keeping her close ones close and impacting lives. Keeping loved ones around reminds her of where she comes from and who she truly is. Ugh, we love that for her.
“I like to have my family around me. When you reach my power and fame, you don’t have people around you to remind you who you really are. It’s not about power, it’s not about money, it’s just about changing people’s lives.”Shama, Schon Magazine
Of course, being well known and having money may seem nice, but those things aren’t as important to her. What truly matters is the impact she has on her listeners.
Anitta seems to have a large, postitive impact on her listeners, and she serves as a role model for any aspiring artists that are hoping to pursue their dreams. There is nothing we love more than an authentic artist!
