Without further ado here is The Honey POP’s ‘What to Watch on Disney+’ list.
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series
First up on our list is ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series’. Try saying that 10 times fast!
When the new drama teacher at East High finds out the school has never put on a production of ‘High School Musical’, she’s quick to get things going. The show is on a meta-level as “real” teenagers of East High set out to replicate Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens’s performance as Troy and Gabriella. The series, which has already been picked up for a second season, is sure to bring nostalgia to fans of the original. While also introducing a new generation to the Wildcat family. Once a Wildcat always a wildcat!
Star Wars: The Mandalorian
If action and sci-fi is more your style, check out ‘Star Wars: The Mandalorian’. Set 5 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, this show will follow a ‘Mandalorian Bounty Hunter’ outside the control of the New Republic. This is the Star War’s universe second attempt at bringing a live-action story to the small screen. They first tried it in 2006 with Star Wars: Underworld which never made it to screen. ‘The Mandalorian’ is sure to be full of all the usual antics we’re used to when it comes to Star Wars content. Good news, this series is also picked up for a season 2 so we don’t have to worry about being left with an unanswered cliffhanger!
Unfortunately, the ‘Lizzie Mcguire’ reboot won’t be available on launch day, but the original series will be! Get reacquainted with Lizzie and her family before the release of the new series in 2020.
If you’ve ever wanted to watch all 30 seasons of ‘The Simpsons’ uninterrupted, now’s your chance! Thanks to the Disney/Fox deal, The Simpsons will be streaming in entirety on Disney+ starting November 12th.
Movies more your style? Disney+ has you covered once again!
In the mood for something Christmas-y? Well, Disney+ has got you covered there too. Follow Noelle Kringle (Anna Kendrick) outside the North Pole as she tracks down her brother (Bill Hader) who is supposed to take over Christmas. This one is certain to make us laugh and feel the holiday spirit.
Lady and the Tramp
Ever wonder what ‘Lady and the Tramp’ would look like if it was filmed with real dogs? Wonder no longer! This is the latest animated classic to get a live-action makeover. It’s the same story we know and love, made better with real dog actors!
Ever wanted to watch a Walt Disney movie but realized you don’t own it because it’s in the dreaded vault? Well, get ready for the vault doors to be sprung open. When Disney+ launches on November 12th dozens of classic Disney films will be at our fingertips. Disney promises that their entire catalog will be available at some point in the near future. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to marathon every Princess movie when Disney+ launches.
Don’t want to be stuck in front of a screen for hours? Check out the original shorts coming to Disney+.
Forky Asks A Question
‘Forky Asks A Question’ isn’t on many people’s radars but it should be! Follow Forky in a series of shorts as he asks his ‘Toy Story’ friends his most pressing questions. Ever wonder what love is? What about time? Money? Well, settle in because Forky and the gang has you covered. Attendees at D23 Expo, Disney’s biannual convention, got a sneak peek of one of the episodes and the audiences love it.
The Spark Shorts program started in 2018 when Pixar employees were given 6 months and a limited budget to create an animated short that would be distributed to YouTube. ‘SparkShorts’ will now be featured on Disney+ making it easier to stay up to date with the amazing shorts the teams at Pixar create.
Maybe reality TV is more your style? Yep, Disney+ has that covered too!
The Imagineering Story
