Meet Brooklyn-based singer Mariel Loveland, AKA Best Ex — A rising pop singer who we are sure will grow as an artist. In the beginning, Mariel was formally apart of the band Candy Hearts, but she is now also flourishing as a solo artist. Around the same time of the drop of her EP, “Ice Cream Anti Social”, she has dropped her new single ‘Bad Love’. You could say we’re pretty obsessed.
Best Ex sings about a toxic relationship that she can’t seem to get enough of. Although she knows it’s bad for the both of them, she has trouble leaving.
‘Bad Love’ is melancholic, yet still upbeat and danceable; we totally recommend this track for your sweet playlist! Or your sad playlist because… well, it be like that sometimes.
If you are a fan of this track, then you should definitely check out the “Ice Cream Anti-Social” EP! Best Ex’s joyous and upbeat music will guarantee you a good mood for the rest of the day!
You can check out the EP on Spotify here.
