Twin Atlantic’s Newest Single ‘Barcelona’ is Here!

Twin Atlantic’s newest single ‘Barcelona’ dropped earlier this week and we think you definitely need to hear it! The Glasgow based group has returned to the music scene and will be following this release with their new album Power, that’s dropping on January 24th, 2020.

Twin Atlantic took charge of their own production, setting up their own studio and using money from gigs to fund the production of the new album. This control and self-production led to the creation of tracks like ‘Barcelona’ and if this is just a single, we can’t wait to hear what the rest of the album sounds like!

‘Barcelona’ has the classic alt-rock feel that Twin Atlantic is known for, coupled with a new synth sound. Sam Mctrusty, the band’s frontman, describes the song as a “love song about being in a film loop.” The lyrics sing of believing in living for love and not being invincible. Once you give it a listen, it’s easy to see that it matches the old film loop, love story vibe that Sam says they tried to achieve. Sounds pretty romantic, doesn’t it? You can check the song out here and see what we mean for yourself.

Twin Atlantic also did a performance of ‘Barcelona’ in their studio, which you can watch here:

If you want to hear more from Twin Atlantic, you can check out their other single Novocaine, also from the upcoming album.

In addition to the singles and the album, Twin Atlantic will be going on tour early in 2020, so keep an eye out on their socials for tour updates and information.
