Grammy nominated Chemical Brothers have revealed a remix from their Aussie friends The Avalanches for the 1999 track ‘Out Of Control’ and we’re thriving!
Having recently supported the Chemical Brothers on their Australian tour, The Avalanches commemorated the 20th anniversary of this song and the album it is from Surrender by remixing this already incredible track.
We didn’t think it could get any better and we were wrong. This blissful rework paired with an incredible visualizer has us falling in love with this masterpiece all over again!
It transcends and eclipses any expectations we had and is otherworldly in its delivery. With nothing but pure escapism in its vibe, we could not have asked for more.
‘Out Of Control’ was the third track to originally be released from the iconic album with featured vocals by New Order’s Bernard Sumner and Primal Scream’s Bobby Gillespie.
The deluxe re-issue of Surrender featuring hours of unreleased material and a blu-ray of the band’s Glastonbury 2000 Pyramid Stage headline set is available now. You can get yours here!
The Avalanches last album Wildflower was released to huge critical acclaim in 2016. This latest remix is the first remix they’ve released since 2013, so we’re lucky it was this one! We just hope we don’t have to wait six more years for another tbh
We can only hope with such amazing talent and diversity we hear more from The Avalanches in 2020!
