Yes, you heard that right. Not only is Harry Styles second album, Fine Line, the last album of the 2010s to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart, it’s also the first No. 1 album as we enter the beginning of 2020!
With 478,000 units sold in the first week of release, Harry effectively secured his spot as the British male artist with the highest debut-week sales, surpassing friend and fellow singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.
It’s also the first male pop album to achieve that since Ed Sheeran’s, No.6 Collaborations Project. Pretty legendary if you ask us!
Fine Line, which features 12 tracks, is only Harry’s second album, and yet it’s been breaking records left, right and center ever since it was released on December 13.
Harry’s first album Harry Styles, had debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 with roughly 200,000 copies sold — add Fine Line to the equation, and BOOM! Harry is the first British male singer to debut at #1 with two consecutive albums and we cannot think of someone more deserving.
As if that wasn’t enough, Fine Line, also debuted with an overall of more than 100 MILLION streams on release week. Incredible!
It’s been a great end of the decade for the former One Direction member and it’s looking like Harry has an even brighter decade to look forward too!
