The alternative pop group, Echosmith, has FINALLY released their long-awaited Sophomore album entitled Lonely Generation. The album has been years in the making, and today it has finally been dropped into our laps. The band has stated that “Lonely Generation is the most personal thing we’ve ever written. We explore coming of age, discovering who we are as individuals, and falling in love.” The new album has a 12 song track listing:
- ‘Lonely Generation’
- ‘Shut Up and Kiss Me’
- ‘Last Forever’
- ‘Everyone Cries’
- ‘Scared To Be Alone’
- ‘Lost Somebody’
- ‘Love You Better’
- ‘Follow You’
- ‘I Don’t Wanna Lose My Love’
The album is available anywhere that you stream music!
The band released the title track, ‘Lonely Generation’, back in 2019. This track addresses how it can feel lonely in a world run by social media, and sets out to remind everyone to focus on real-life connections. This track was followed by their most recent single and video release, ‘Diamonds’. The new single shines a light on the value of individuality. Sydney Quiseng (Sierota), the lead vocalist of Echosmith, said that “Diamonds is one of my favorite songs on the record, and possibly her favorite music video, ever.” The video was directed by Danny Drysdale (The Killers), and when we say the group came to slay, we mean it!
If a new single AND an album just aren’t enough for you, you can catch Echosmith’s live performance of ‘Diamonds’ on Live with Kelly and Ryan on January 14 (check your local listing for air times). The trio also has a North American headline tour coming our way! The Lonely Generation Tour kicks off February 12 in Washington, D.C. The band will then continue touring major cities on both the East and West Coast, finishing out the tour on March 5 in Los Angeles. Supporting acts will be Weathers and Jayden Bartels.
