Get ready for our weekly burst of sweet releases, to end your week on a high!

Spanish Love Songs — ‘Kick’

Spanish Love Songs’ new emo/punk song ‘Kick’ from their upcoming album, Brave Faces Everyone has dropped and it’s so relatable. They reminisce on the darkness in their past, with a chorus that is painfully emotive including lyrics such as “the world’s gonna kick you anyway.” and “keep your head up if you’re not okay.” It’s the kind of song that should come with a trigger warning. If you love heavy metal music we highly recommend you listen to this song ASAP!”

Nae — ’80’s Arcade’

Synth-pop singer Nae’s new single ‘80’s Arcade’ drops today and it is a total bop! She sings of a broken relationship that can’t be repaired, The lyric “we left our love in this 80’s arcade” resonates with an addictive melody that she sings so beautifully. Not to mention that the music makes you want to get up and dance. If you haven’t listened to her electro pop style yet, what are you waiting for? It’s a playlist must have!

One clever thing about ‘Anthem’ is that it tricks you into thinking it’s a piano ballad, before suddenly becoming an EDM dance track. This is 19 year old Connor Bvrns’ debut single, and boy is he talented. It is just so good. BONN’s voice brings a raw emotion to the song which blends perfectly into the melody. If this debut single from Connor Bvrns is anything to go by, he’s going to be a hit producer in no time!

Super Whatevr — ‘ Melancholyism’

Super Whatevr add a sense of loneliness to their new song ‘Melancholyism’ With lyrics such as “I’ve got nothing left to do but be alone” It’s a melancholic song (irony not missed) with the beat of a dance track. Sounds strange, but it works so well. Taken from their upcoming album don’t you wanna be glad? And if the album is anything like this single, we’ve got plenty of reasons to be excited. The album drops February 7th so why not Pre-Order here

Kvelertak — ‘Crack of Doom’

If you’re looking to headbang to a heavy metal song with a deep message, you should definitely check out Kvelertak’s ‘CRACK OF DOOM’. The Norwegian band’s first English single features vocals by Troy Sanders of Mastodon and is accompanied by a hauntingly dark video. It’s featured on the band’s first album in 4 years, Splid, which the band states is “a deep dive into western gluttony, our own stupidity, and the abyss of the earth.” Splid is out February 14th and if you can’t wait that long, you can always jam out to ‘CRACK OF DOOM’ on repeat like we are.

Polaris — ‘HYPERMANIA’

‘HYPERMANIA’ by Polaris screams out emotion, the whole song is centered around paranoia and the despair of barely making it through the day. It’s a song that is exactly as it’s described. The great guitar riffs and powerful drums bring a heavy background to deep, hardcore lyrics. Not to mention the visuals bring the song to life. If you love heavy metal/screamo music, then this band is worth a listen. Their new album The Death Of Me is out on February 21st.
