UK artist Becky Hill just released her most recent single ‘Better Off Without You’ featuring the British DJ Shift K3Y on January 10, and we can’t stop listening to the new track!
The new single is a self-written track that was produced by British mixer and record producer Mark Ralph, and is the successor to her single ‘I Could Get Used To This’, which was released back in March 2019 with English DJ, Weiss.
“Better Off Without You’ is that perfect break up song. Starting the year with those New Year, new me feels, it’s your new self-love anthem of 2020! Written about a break up of my own, ’Better Off Without You’ was a song that I listened to over the course of 2019 that helped me through some really dark times. I can’t wait to share this bit of personal therapy with others and watch the song take on a life of its own.”
Becky is one of Britain’s most popular artists right now. With more than one billion streams and 17 million monthly Spotify listeners, she has become the second most listened to British female artist on Spotify UK. She has become prominent both for her background in electronic music, as well as her ability to write impressive pop songs that thrive on the charts.
Throughout her career, she has made quite a name for herself with a long list of hits. Seven of the songs that she has written have peaked in the Top 40 on the UK Official Singles Charts. This includes her number one million-selling hit single ‘Gecko (Overdrive)’ with Dutch DJ and electronic music producer Oliver Heldens, and her single ‘Afterglow’ with English DJ, remixer, and record producer Wilkinson, which peaked at number 8 in the UK. Furthermore, ‘Back & Forth’, her collaboration with English DJ, songwriter, singer, record producer, and remixer Jonas Blue and American record producer and DJ MK charted at 12 on the UK singles chart and has since been certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry.
On top of her already stunning music experience, Becky has also previously teamed up with a diverse range of artists, such as Norwegian DJ and record producer Matoma, British singer and rapper Lil Simz, and British drum and bass band Rudimental. Besides the hit songs that she writes for herself, Becky has also written for multiple notable artists. Just a few of them include the likes of British girl group Little Mix, Dutch DJ and record producer Tiësto, French DJ Martin Solveig, English DJ Jax Jones, and British songwriter, recording artist, and record producer MNEK.
Last year, Becky had an incredible 2019 with her debut album Get to Know. Now, she’s already had an incredible start to the new decade with her brand new single, and I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for 2020.
