21-year-old singer/songwriter, Conan Gray, has been blessing our eyes and ears since 2013. He got his start by posting covers on YouTube, and he dropped his first single ‘The Other Side’ in 2016. The singer has also charted on the US Top 100 and Global Top 200 with his previous single ‘Maniac,’ which debuted in the Top 25 on TikTok‘s trending chart, and it continues to climb the charts. The crooner’s latest single, ‘The Story,’ collected 2 million streams on Spotify in just one week of being released. This now puts Conan in the Top 500 most streamed artists on Spotify with 8.1 million monthly listeners.
Conan just released the music video for ‘The Story,’ and it’s got us feeling very emotional. The video premiered on MTV, MTVU, and Times Square Viacom Billboard in New York City. Conan stated that “I wrote the story about what it was like to grow up in Texas. It often felt like it was me and my friends versus the world. Small town kids don’t really escape and make futures for themselves, but we all had missions to get out of Texas. I wanted the video to feel like those days— just roaming around our ghost town wishing we could escape…” The video encompasses beauty, and pain all in one. Check out the video below and revel in its beauty.
