The Weekly Buzz: An Un-Bee-lievable New Year

Welcome back to The Weekly Buzz, our recurring column that keeps you in the know about everything going on in the world of pop culture that you can’t afford to miss! From music to TV and everything in between. We’re buzzin’ about it.

Halsey released her latest album Manic. Quite frankly, it’s one of the most beautiful masterpieces that we’ve been given in the last decade. The pop star’s ethereal vocals show nothing but raw emotion throughout every single track. We are beyond living for it.

Everyone’s favorite songstress Vanessa Carlton, not only announced the release of her sixth studio album (Spring 2020), but also tour dates for the first leg of her US headline tour, Love is An Art Tour. We’ve never been more stoked!

Get ready, because Beabadoobee announced her North American, Spring 2020 Tour. Starting in late March, the indie-rocker will be headed stateside, and we are beyond excited.

Our favorite indie-pop, singer/songwriter Conan Gray, dropped an emotional music video for his hit single ‘The Story.’ We’ve yet to be disappointed by Conan, and 2020 is going to be his year.

Indie-pop icons, The 1975, have announced their North American Tour, and they dropped new single ‘Me & You Together Song.’ The band continues to serve up nothing but bops, and we just know their new album is about to slay!

This week, we celebrated 25 years of the Foo Fighters. It’s a little bit surreal to think we’ve been getting music from the rock legends for over 2 decades. It’s unbelievable, what an achievement! We hope they will keep releasing music for at least another decade.

Tweet Of The Week

On January 16, Grayscale took to social media to share a special message about their song ‘Tommy’s Song.’ They also reached out to fans with a call-to-action. The band shared a very heart-wrenching live video performance and asked fans to donate to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (if they were able). They have since raised over $3,200 for the foundation. For the full story, check out the band’s tweet below.

BLACKPINK is reportedly making two comebacks this year. They are supposed to make their grand return after the comeback of Sechakies, and again after iKON. Finally, the long wait is over!

Younha became the first female Korean soloist in history to top Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart. WOW, what an impressive feat!

Monsta X announced US and Canada dates for their world tour. Tickets are on sale now, and we have got to get tickets immediately!

We at The Honey POP are fans just like you, so we thought we’d share the buzz about Team THP’s faves in The Weekly Buzz!

“I really love the Jonas Brothers’ new song ‘What A Man Gotta Do’ … I love how they included their wives [in the video]. Best brand ever!” – Carly, writer

“Personally, I’m super into Halsey’s new album and the 1975’s latest single. They’re both favorites of mine anyway, and getting new music from both in one week just has me so *heart eyes*”- Ibby, Owner

” Halsey’s new album is not only a bop, but is also raw and personal. Although most of her music has been personal before, you can hear the difference in vulnerability between this project and her past ones. She said that she had to cut herself open to make the album, and you can definitely tell through eavh track.” -Gabby, writer
