Twin Atlantic: New album ‘Power’ Out Now!

Scottish Alt-Rock powerhouses, Twin Atlantic, is a band you need to know. These lads are a four-piece consisting of Sam McTrusty (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Ross McNae (bass, keyboard, backing vocals), Craig Kneale (drums, percussion, backing vocals), and Barry McKenna (lead guitar, cello, keyboard, backing vocals). Powering through the music industry over the past 10 years, this group has earned its place as seasons vets. Plus, with song s like ‘Crash Land,’ we can’t help but swoon (and cry ugly cry).

What else to do, but produce their own album? Using their full studio in Glasgow, they finally did it their way. Making what we think is nothing short of a masterpiece. Sure, they had to do everything on their own, but that’s why we (and they) think it’s so raw and honest. Nothing better than an album so personable. To top it all off, that’s how they scored their sweet new record deal!

Fifth Studio Album: “Power”

Super stoked, Twin Atlantic’s released their fifth studio album “Power,” including the killer single ‘Novacaine’ on January 24th, 2020. Twin Atlantic made an oath to produce honest, relatable content for all to enjoy. Power, released via Harvest Records tapped into sounds and knowledge of bands like LCD Soundsystem and Depeche Mode. The album, containing eight punchy tracks and two compelling interludes, is open, honest, empowered, and utterly brilliant.

With their first record since 2016s, “GLA” the vowed to deliver raw content. Providing their fans (us included), with a more inspired album, focused on moving forward past hardships. How did they do it? Well, with an ambiance so uniquely euphoric, it vibrates us to the core. And we won’t let ANYTHING bring us down.

After main staging at Reading & Leeds festival over the summer, and being support for The 1975, Twin Atlantic will return in March with some exciting and some more intimate live performances. We highly recommend hitting those shows.

Our top track of the album “Power” is the single ‘Barcelona.‘ Heartbreaking brutally honest lyrics (as per their usual style), their way with words helps us fall in love, and get over it. What’s your favorite track on “Power”? Let us know by tweeting us at @thehoneypop!
