Our Queen, Bebe Rexha, Slays Again and We Are A Mess

Bebe Rexha owns our whole heart here at The Honey Pop. With her amazing talent and a beauty that shines inside and out, there’s no denying that stanning such a queen is a necessity in life. Bebe is all about empowerment, for self and other women. That’s why she started hosting the Women In Harmony event.

For the past three years, Bebe has hosted the powerful pre-Grammy brunch event. In a speech to guests at this years Women In Harmony event, she said: “The purpose of Women in Harmony for me is to address the staggering inequality, and there are so many badass bitches in here, and it’s one thing about saying I am about female empowerment, I believe in women, and I want to help women, but it’s another thing actually showing up and being in this room.” YAAASSS QUEEN! We love to stan a woman who supports other women.

The initiative was founded by Bebe as a way to bring other females in the music industry together so they can encourage and support each other and work together. It also fosters a community that supports young women entering the industry. This year’s event was held at Craig’s in Los Angeles. The star-studded guest list included many amazing icons such as Cyndi Lauper, Tinashe, Jordin Sparks, Natasha Bedingfield, Kelsea Ballerini, JoJo, Dinah Jane, Madison Beer, and more. Wow, so many influential women in one room, just think of the power that has.

Bebe also told Variety, “This event is so important to me because I wanted to give other songwriters, and up and coming songwriters something I never had, an environment that I felt safe in. For me, it makes it a lot scarier when you are in the music business, and you are told to be competitive with other female artists, which is such bullshit. So what this does is it normalizes all of us being in a room together. It makes us all humanize each other and that we should all be on the same team, and I never had that. I never had an event like this, and I never had anybody I could talk to.” That is such a beautiful sentiment *tears*.

We toast to you Bebe and all the marvelous ladies in the industry! We hope this phenomenal event can continue for many years to come. This one’s for empowering women everywhere!
