We Were Anything But Hurt By Donna Missal’s New Single

Donna Missal has released ‘Hurt By You’ and it’s a very freeing post-break-up song.

Earlier this year we told you to watch out for her in our 20 Artists to Watch in 2020 and we were not wrong. The song has a fun tune and we think it’s very easy to dance to.

With the release of the song ‘Hurt By You,’ Donna Missal shows us just a sneak peek of what we’re going to hear from her new album. The care-free self-loving song has us jamming out and loving ourselves.

The song reflects a time after a relationship where you just know it wasn’t healthy. Donna Missal herself spoke about the song.

“Letting someone go doesn’t have to signify loss and pain exclusively,” she said. “There can be wide open space on the other side of that to feel autonomy, freedom, and room to grow.”

It’s a journey many of us have been on but have had so many different experiences. Being able to relate to a song like this may hurt post-breakup, but we know Missal is speaking her truth and allowing us to relate to her.

Missal has already had tremendous success with a sold-out headline tour in 2019. She also released some music in 2019 that we still haven’t stopped listening to: ‘You Burned Me‘, ‘Get Well‘ and ‘Keep Lying.’

On top of all of that, Donna Missal is joining Lewis Capaldi again for the second leg of his sold-out tour.
