Canadian Alt-Rock dudes, Selfish Things formed in 2016, started their career with a sick ass EP, followed by the release of their first full-length studio album in September of last year, Logos, via Pure Noise Record. Obviously destined for great success with Pure Noise, and label mates like State Champs, The Story So Far, Four Year Strong, Can’t Swim, and Senses Fail. Selfish Things is made up of Alex Brio (Vocals/Guitar/Piano), Mike Ticar (Lead Guitar/Vocals) and Cam Snooks (Rhythm Guitar). We think it’s a perfect fit as Selfish Things serves up a unique combination of pop-punk and heavier vibes. Gaining mad respect from a broad spectrum of genres. Plus, using a Jimmy Eat World song title as a name gains them even more cool points. Sure, their name might make us think otherwise, but with a determination like no other, they prove they are nowhere near selfish.
Spending years developing his natural talents to music and songwriting, Brio founded Selfish Things. All in hopes of creating something with a concept both simple, and often overlooked – honesty.
New Version of ‘Torn’ Takes it To The Next Level
They take it to the next level with their latest release, an alternate version of ‘Torn’. Showcasing a whole new side of their artistry, this re-imagined track hits in all the right ways. Selfish Things will be adding this track, as well as other unique renditions of songs from their catalog on a super special tour that hits the road next week! Catch these studs as they support Have Mercy on their final tour (YEAH WE ARE UPSET ABOUT THAT TOO) along with Fred Disco and Young Culture. Playing cities like Boston, Brooklyn, Nashville, Tampa, Chicago, and Toronto, there is no reason not to catch this run.
