Usually, 13 is considered bad luck, but not in this case. Lil Wayne has just released his THIRTEENTH (yes you read right) studio album Funeral, and to celebrate, his labels, Young Money Entertainment and Republic Records, held an album release party in Miami. This was in partnership with Lyft, Bumbu Rum, and Amazon Music’s hip-hop playlist Rap Rotation. Some of the stars that were in attendance were Michael Irvin, Dani Leigh, Quinnen Williams, Mack Maine, Quincey Williams, YesJulz, Shiggy, Stephen Jackson and Birdman. We’re bummed we weren’t invited to attend, but I guess we’ll just stream Funeral to make up for it.

The album is expected to debut at the coveted number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart, with a prediction that Lil Wayne will have more than 115,000 equivalent album units by the end of February 6.. This would make Funeral his fifth album to reach this achievement, and 12th top 10 overall. His last album release was back in 2018, titled Tha Carter V, and his 54 albums that have peaked at number 1 on the Billboard 200 so far include Tha Carter III in 2008, I Am Not a Human Being in 2010, The Carter IV in 2011, and Tha Carter V in 2018. Funeral contains 24 tracks and features collaborations from Big Sean, Lil Baby, Jay Rock, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, 2 Chainz, Takeoff, The Dream, Lil Twist, Satan’s Kid, XXXTentacion, and O.T. Genasis.

Lil Tunechi’s track ‘I Do It’ from his latest album features artists Lil Baby and Big Sean, and is the lead song on Rap Rotation. You can listen to it right here!
