What a week it’s been for the 5SOSFam. We already had the antagonizing wait for tickets for the North American leg of the tour to go on sale, then the announcement of the album along with the drop of a new single and now the music video for ‘No Shame’ has been dropped and let us tell you, it’s wild.
Directed by Hannah Lux Davis (AKA the legend behind Ariana Grande videos such as ‘7 Rings’ and ‘Thank U Next‘), the music video sees 5SOS take on a whole new persona as they turn into clout chasers. It follows in the same kind of format of the ‘Hey Everybody’ music video from Sounds Good Feels Good, where each member has their own skit.
We see a mournful Michael, Calum, and Ashton at a funeral for the late Luke Hemmings as they say goodbye to their best friend, only for Luke to sneakily be in attendance as it turns out he has in fact faked kicking the bucket (for clout? For a new start in life away from the fame? who knows, tbh). Calum has settled down with a wife and two kids in which he becomes quite the materialistic guy as opposed to the more down-to-earth bassist we all know and love.
Michael gets into a car accident and as he whips out his phone, rather than calling emergency services, he vlogs it all (a subtle nod to the scandalous TikTokers who have to capture everything for the views). Meanwhile, Ashton has given up the musician life and opened up a luxurious cosmetics clinic where he has become a plastic surgeon, a place that Hollywood residents are so notoriously known for visiting.
“It was so much fun collaborating with the guys on this video,” says Davis. “They fearlessly dove into each scene and trusted me to deliver a visual with this much punch. It’s something different for all of us and I’m excited with how it turned out.”
Within minutes of the video going live, it became quite the meme source for fans, with some iconic tweets being shared that are almost as iconic as the music video.

Honestly, we’re gonna say it: this is potentially the greatest 5SOS music video to date. WE GOT NO SHAME IN SAYING IT, EITHER.
